Center for CSR Development and GC Network Ukraine conducted training on social reporting

The training “CSR Reporting as a Step to Transparency and Accountability” took place in Kyiv on 27-28 of August. The event was a milestone in the process of building the capacity of Ukrainian companies in social reporting. The concept of training has been developed by the Center for CSR Development (Kyiv) in partnership with the Global Compact Network Ukraine and CSR-Company (Austria) and with the support of GC member company HOSHVA PR.

The trainer and moderator of the event was Mr. Florian Beranek, founder of the CSR-Company (Austria) and certified trainer of UNIDO on CSR programs. Among the guest speakers of the training were Ms. Elena Panova, Public Private Partnership Officer, Global Compact Network in Ukraine, Mr. Victor Voronenko, TNK-BP, Ms. Maryna Chyketa, Coca Cola Eurasia Group.

In course of the two-day event Mr. Beranek together with the Ukrainian experts in non-financial reporting provided the participants of the training with practical recommendations related to all aspects of the reporting: planning of the CSR strategy, internal and external communications, gathering of the information on CSR activities, standard reporting tools, correct terminology, structures of the report. Additionally, an emphasis was put on company's image and brand's reputation management using social report as a tool.
