The official award ceremony of the winner of the contest for journalists

On May 21, 2009 in the framework of the Annual Meeting of the Global Compact Networks the official award ceremony of the winner of the contest for journalists on the best analytical material on social responsibility of business took place.

UN Office in Ukrainereceived more than forty articles from more than 20 authors. The main prize, opportunity to take part in the Annual GC Networks Forum that will take place in June in Istanbul(Turkey), went to Ms. Olena GLADSKIKH (newspaper “Delo”).

In addition companies Coca-Cola and Philips suggested their own nominations and awarded the following journalists: Ms. Viktoria GRANINA, project “Gvardia” (nomination ““Energy efficiency–essential part of human wellbeing ”by Philips Ukraine) and Mr. Svyatoslav RYBNIKOV, “Ukrainian Technical Newspaper” (nomination “ For Promotion of the CSR Topic in the Regions ” by “Coca -Cola Ukraine”)

We are very grateful to all the contestants who contributed their interesting and substantial articles and also to the members of the jury for their effort and objectiveness in evaluation.

As a result it was also decided that such a contest would be conducted on the annual basis in order to further contribute to development of CSR topic in Ukrainian media.
