First GC delistings from Ukraine
Kyiv, Ukraine
As of February 1, 2010 a total of 859 organizations, including 7 Ukrainian have been removed from the list of GC participants for failure to communicate progress in frames of the rules of the Global Compact Initiative.
“While the delisting of companies is regrettable, it is essential that the UNGC initiative stays true to its accountability policy”, said Georg Kell, Executive Director. “This helps protect the integrity of the initiative as a whole, while also protecting the engagement of seriously committed companies”.
In particular, the following Ukrainian companies have been delisted:
∙ Active Bank
∙ British Airways in Ukraine
∙ GlaxoSmithKline in Ukraine
∙ HVB Bank
∙ Nissan Motor Ukraine
∙ SC Johnson Ukraine
∙ Tetra Pak Ukraine
