Ukraine's first brochure on non-financial reporting

June 9, 2010 – a new publication aims to give the Ukrainian business community tools for the development and professionalization of non-financial reporting. The two part document contains practical advice on non-financial report preparation and development of domestic non-financial reporting processes, as well as an analytical review of non-financial reporting and examination of developmental issues in the country.

Yulia Shcherbinina, UN Ukraine PPP Officer, says: "Over the past two years, more and more Ukrainian companies have been presenting non-financial reports - 91% of Global Compact members are among them. This manual is a source of advice on the preparation and distribution of non-financial reporting, based on effective practices in  Ukrainian and international companies. We hope to make the reporting process easy and efficient, with the correctly prepared report becoming an effective tool of communication with target audiences.”
 
Vladimir Vorobey, a partner of the Socially Responsible Business Community, and one of the authors of the brochure: “This brochure provides recommendations and guidance to companies for the preparation of such reports. Ukrainian business has received a practical tool for improving the system of control over their social responsibility. We hope this manual will increase the number of reporting companies and the qualitative improvement of most non-financial reports.” 
The publication is useful for all those preparing a report on progress and seeking to improve their existing non-financial reporting.  It was prepared with the support of the Community of Socially Responsible Business and Ernst & Young.
