Winter Institute for CSR Lecturers in Rivne

      On January 23-28,2012 in Rivne (western Ukraine) more than 30 lecturers from  10 universities of Ukraine participated in the  Winter Institute for CSR Lecturers organized by the Ukrainian Association for Development of Management and Business Education supported by the Global Compact Network Ukraine. Winter Institute Agenda involved case-solving as well as other interactive sessions with the participation of the Ukrainian Global Compact Network members. The methodological support of the event was provided by the companies «DTEK», «Ernst & Young», «Kyivstar», «Obolon», «SCM», and NGO-Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility Development, and KROK University of Economics and Law. In addition, each participant of the Winter Institute received a copy of the GC Dilemma Game, the Ukrainian version of which was produced in summer 2011. Ms. Anna Danylyuk, Global Compact Network Coordinator, presented the latest trends in CSR movement worldwide and some insights from the ukrainian market, followed by the interactive session with Global Compact Dilemma Game.

Backgroundin 2009 the Global Compact Network Ukraine with the support of «System Capital Management» and Ukrainian Association for Development of Management  and Business Education set up a working group for implementation of CSR principles in Ukrainian higher education By  present  the following activities were carried out: development of the “Corporate Social Responsibility” (CSR) course and methodological materials for teaching at undergraduate level;  two Summer Institutes for lecturers' professional development;  round tables devoted to the implementation and promotion of the CSR program, competition on the best curriculum for the CSR course, publication and report of the findings of research conducted; presentation of the “GC Dilemmas” business game in November 2011, etc.
