What is your company’s involvement with the Community? Tetra Pak Ukraine provides financial and organizational support to the range of Universities such as: Kyiv Mohyla University, EERC, and University of Food Technologies, Kyiv Polytechnic University and Lviv State University. The company established two regular scholarships, 10000 $ each and remains open to provide other support upon request. Tetra Pak Ukraine offered financial and information support to the Ukrainian branch of international students network – ISEC. An opportunity for the on site internship / business project that Tetra Pak has offered a second consequent year for the London Business School students is mutually beneficial for both parties. Finally Tetra Pak in conjunction with our key customers have supported for years deprived of parental care or less fortunate children of Radomyshl orphanage, SOS Children Village and Chernobyl Children Hospital by supplying them with indispensable in terms of nutritional value milk and juice.
What is your company’s involvement with the environment? Tetra Pak is committed to running its business in an environmentally sound and sustainable manner, creating profitable growth in harmony with environmental sustainability and good corporate citizenship. Tetra Pak Ukraine is currently focused on minimizing the negative impact of post production and post consumer beverage carton waste on the environment. The company has pioneered waste collection and recycling scheme in Ukraine. In 2007 Tetra Pak Ukraine has committed to collect and recycle 5% of post-consumer beverage cartons with the following increase to 10% by 2010. This will be achieved by sorting out used packages at Ukrainian sorting plants and than re-pulping the bulk of used beverage cartons at local paper mills. Recycled beverage carton fibers are used in production of various goods ranging from stationary, kitchen rolls and paper bags to cardboard boxes.
What does your company do at workplace in the frame of corporate social responsibility? Tetra Pak has Development programmers targeting Company Talent pool, i.e. leading as tetra Pak manager at Ashridge and many others. Special attention is paid to people with potential through corporate policy, MPD, transparent selection and recruitment policy when internal position MUST BE posted on corporate intranet to offer opportunity to internal candidates before applicants from outside the company are considered. The People Policy of Tetra Pak is covering: recruitment, training and development, remuneration and compensation, employee engagement.
What is your company’s practice of business ethics? The Code of Business Conduct is in place. Regular communication and follow up with employees on all vital issues is a core task of the management. In the Pledge signed by all senior management they commit to: ensuring that the principles and requirements contained in this Code of Business Conduct, and the detailed policies that support it (hereinafter referred to as «The Code»), are communicated to, and observed by all direct reports and asking them to communicate it further down. applying The Code at all times to the best of their ability and explicitly notifying to senior management any deviation from The Code. making sure that no employee in the organisation will be penalised for any loss of business resulting from adherence to The Code. making sure that no employee will suffer as a consequence of bringing a breach or suspected breach of The Code.
