| What is your company’s involvement with the Community? |
We are committed to our communities. One of KPMG’s core values is commitment to our community. In Ukraine we have a Corporate Social Responsibility Committee that develops the annual plan of CSR activities and organizes them. During 2006 KPMG began a monthly project where we pick up children from an orphanage in Kyiv region, take them to entertaining places (cinemas, theatres, circus, Planetarium), and communicate with them throughout the day. In addition, each child receives presents (photos, sweets, hygiene items, books, toys etc.) Every visit to an orphanage includes KPMG volunteers. In addition, KPMG people donate money, clothes, books, and toys. |

| What is your company’s involvement with the environment? |
KPMG has extensive and career-long training programs aimed at broadening specialized technical knowledge and developing general skills (teamwork, negotiations, preparation of presentations). KPMG’s professional training and development also includes enrollment in programs such as ACCA , and our staff has an opportunity to obtain Ukrainian certifications and to take part in training programs offered by external organizations. Our compensation package is designed to be at the leading edge of the market, and includes salary, bonus scheme, medical and life insurance (for our employees, their spouses and immediate dependants till the age of 18), a generous vacation allowance, extra travel allowances, and a number of firm sponsored social events etc. We also offerour staff the chance to work at other KPMG offices around the world under both shortterm and long-term arrangements. | What does your company do at workplace in the
frame of corporate social responsibility? |
KPMG acts according to the Global Code of Conduct, entitled ‘Performance with Integrity’, which defines the standards of ethical conduct that KPMG requires worldwide. The code has been developed to define the values and standards by which KPMG does business. Its specific principles are underpinned by the core values of integrity. At KPMG, integrity must be about doing the right thing – adhering to high standards of ethical conduct and being honest, accountable, and consistent with KPMG’s rigorous standards of professionalism. The code applies equally to all employees of all KPMG member firms – regardless of title or position. It sets out our ethical principles, and helps partners and employees to understand and uphold those principles. |
